Privacy Policy — Wendle's Riverbank

Wendle's Riverbank ("the app") is made by Simon Elves, based in the United Kingdom ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when the app is used. The short version: the app does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal information.

What the app collects

Nothing. The app does not collect names, email addresses, photos, voice recordings, location, contacts, device identifiers or usage data. It has no account or login.

What stays on the device

The app saves a few settings chosen by a grown-up: the explorer level, the play-time limit, the volume, whether Wendle talks and which of the device's voices Wendle uses. These are kept only in the app's own storage on the device. They are never sent to us or anyone else, and they are removed when the app is uninstalled.

No internet, no ads, no tracking

The app does not use the internet. It contains no adverts, no analytics, no tracking, and no third-party software that collects data. There are no links to websites, no social features and no in-app chat.

Wendle's voice

Wendle's voice uses the text-to-speech voice already installed on the device. The words are turned into speech on the device itself; the app does not send them anywhere.

Permissions

The app does not ask for access to the camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or files. It may keep the screen awake while a child is playing, which does not involve any personal information.

Children

The app is designed for young children, to be used with a parent or carer. Because we collect no personal information at all, we do not collect information from children. We have designed the app with the UK Information Commissioner's Age Appropriate Design Code (the Children's Code) in mind.

Google Play

If you download the app from Google Play, Google handles that download and any information it collects under its own privacy policy. We do not receive personal information about you from Google.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes in a way that affects privacy, for example when optional paid areas are added, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
